"I find that stir-fries are among the most flexible, economical meals I make because I can pretty much toss in whatever I have on hand in the vegetable crisper. It’s a real lifesaver of a meal when I am in a hurry, stuck for ideas, haven’t shopped or even when friends unexpectedly drop by. It’s also a great way to use up those bits and pieces of carrot, onion, celery, chilli, remains of a coriander bunch etc. Everyone thinks I have spent a fortune and gone to heaps of trouble. And I haven’t!"
