Really speedy ‘5-ingredient’ fried rice with baby corn

This makes a simple, easy meal by itself, served as an accompaniment with a grill or barbecue. Or heated up to help kids power through their homework or perform their best at sports training after school. Add any extra vegetables you wish, or that need using up. Kecap manis is an Indonesian sweet soy sauce found in the sauce or Asian section of the supermarket or in Asian produce stores. If you don't have any leftover rice, 1 cup rice will make 3 cups cooked rice.

150 g (5 oz) snow peas (mangetout), trimmed, sliced into 3 pieces
410 g (14 oz) can baby corn cuts, drained
100 g (3½ oz) sliced salami, diced
3 cups leftover cooked rice
1 tablespoon kecap manis

FROM THE PANTRY
1 tablespoon peanut oil

Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the snow peas and cook for 1 minute. Stir through the baby corn, salami, rice and sauce making sure everything is well combined and heat through.
