Theme nights!

One way of making meal planning easier is to have regular theme. It's how our parents and grandparents cooked - the weekly roast was followed by cold meat the next day and then the leftovers were minced and everyone tucked into cottage pie. Nothing went to waste.

Theme nights need not be boring, not if you have fun themes that fit with your favourite recipes - spicy night every Monday sounds good to us and it could be a curry, Thai beef salad or Mexican chilli beans. It's a really easy way to rotate recipes without too many repeats, use up leftovers, make the most of all the food you buy in the weekly shop and reduce food waste.
